Record 15-20 minutes of video and you’ve just created the raw material for:

  • Multiple text posts

  • Quote graphics

  • Blog-style summaries

  • Audiograms or reels

  • Newsletter segments

And it all stems from one authentic, low-pressure conversation.

You don’t need to become a one-take wonder. You don’t even have to publish the full video. But this one shift – recording longer content first – is where the leverage begins.


 

Batching Content: Your Brain Will Thank You

Especially if you’re neurodiverse – or just managing a busy schedule – batching isn’t just about saving time. It’s about protecting your energy.

Switching between tasks burns mental bandwidth. And if every day you’re opening LinkedIn or Canva or Descript and thinking “what the hell am I going to say today?” – that’s death by a thousand (electronic) paper cuts.

Instead, block out 90 minutes every 3-4 weeks. You don’t even need to know exactly what you’ll say before you start. Just pick 2-3 topics you know your audience cares about. Hit record. Ramble a little. Say what you really think. Trust that there’s value in your lived experience.

You’ll build momentum. You’ll settle into your groove. And before you know it, you’ll have months’ worth of content to drip out at your own pace – without touching a camera again until next month.

Bonus tip: protect that time like gold. Book it in your calendar. Shut the tabs. Put your phone in a drawer. That content sprint is the engine room for your brand visibility.


 

Templates: The Secret to Showing Up Without Burning Out

Let’s get tactical.

Templates are the systems that reduce friction. They remove the question “how should I present this?” and let you focus on the message itself.

This applies to:

  • Your video layout

  • Your LinkedIn posts

  • Your carousels

  • Your YouTube thumbnails

  • Even your newsletter formatting

It takes some initial setup. Maybe you spend an hour building your Canva templates or saving editing presets in Descript. But after that? You’re hitting duplicate, not starting from scratch.

Want to push this further? Create a content format that becomes your default rhythm. Maybe it’s a weekly “myth busting” post. Or a monthly “3 mistakes I see” carousel. That repeatable structure builds consistency for you and familiarity for your audience. It becomes your signature.

Perfectionism is a Thief – And It’s Robbing Your Progress

Here’s what nobody wants to admit.

Perfectionism doesn’t make your content better. It makes it slower. It makes it rarer. It makes it invisible.

We tell ourselves “I’ll post when I have the right lighting”, or “I’ll record once my hair’s done” (Obviously this is one I use ALL the time)or “I’ll launch the newsletter when it’s all lined up properly”.

The reality? That day never comes.

Meanwhile, your competitors – the ones getting visible, building relationships, getting referrals – they’re posting the B+ work.

And guess what?

B+ beats A+ work that never gets published.

Your audience doesn’t need polished. They need present. They need consistent. They need real.

You will mess up words. You’ll misquote stats. You’ll get analogies wrong. That’s not the problem. That’s the proof you’re human – and humans are who we trust.


 

Still Not Convinced? Let’s Tackle the Pushback

You might be thinking:

I don’t have anything interesting to say.” Wrong. You solve problems for clients every day. That’s content. Share what went wrong. Share how you fixed it. Share what surprised you. Share what changed your mind.

But I’m not comfortable on camera.” Fair enough. You don’t have to become a YouTuber. Start with voice notes. Turn those into blog posts or audiograms. Or just film and never post – until you build confidence.

I don’t want to sound repetitive.” Repetition builds authority. If you’re sick of hearing yourself say it, your audience is just starting to get it.

There are a hundred internal scripts that will try to pull you off this path. None of them hold water. If you want visibility – if you want credibility – content is the route. And this system makes it possible.


 

What Happens When You Do This Right

You stop wasting hours “trying to be consistent”. You stop staring at blank documents. You stop starting over.

Instead, you build a repeatable system. You focus on your message, not the mechanics. You create once, and use it 10 times.

You show up with clarity, not stress.

This is what smart thought leaders do. They’re not creating every day. They’re repurposing. They’re planning. They’re leveraging. And the beauty is, once you get this in place, it actually takes less of your time than what you’re probably doing now.

You don’t need to be better. You need a better system.
