People Beat Brand, Every Time
Many of you will know, I don’t have a conventional background. I’ve worked in call centres, sold kitchens, and served as a Special Constable covering response, beat, substance misuse, and traffic. I worked for 15 years in retail in almost every role possible, from store leadership to analytics, fraud & theft detection, warehousing, and admin. Then I left to join an AI startup, selling complex enterprise technology to enterprise clients.
I found I had built an amazing capability. What? The ability to understand what makes people TICK.
We’re an incredibly illogical species. (Thanks, Spock!) We don’t operate at all how you’d expect. And you’d think we would know better, right? We’re all humans… so surely we’re all experts? Not so, apparently. Anyway, I digress.
The good news is, I’m here to help share some of that knowledge. This is a path I set out on a couple of years back, kindly nudged down the path by others when I was introduced to them.

SO. Here’s the GEM.
If you want to create customers, you must first create TRUST.
They have to Know, Like & TRUST you. Probably, without ever meeting you, if you want to be scalable.
How? Putting you and YOUR TEAM on video, and getting it out there. Not these namby-pamby fluff type videos that explain your products and services without ever showing a team member’s face. 🫣 Not B-Roll stock footage of people doing things mildly relevant to what you’re talking about in the video. 🫣
But ACTUAL people, talking about REAL experiences, opinions, and journeys. Make that person/those people synonymous with your brand. Make them one and the same. And watch the trust barriers fall.
